$160M Puna Community Medical Campus Planned For Pāhoa, Hawaii
Nonprofit Puna Community Medical Center Foundation (Pāhoa, Hawaii) is building the Puna Community Medical Campus in Pāhoa, Hawaii, according to the website bigislandnow.com.
The $160 million, two-story project will be part of a 5-acre site on land leased from the Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources (Honolulu).
The facility will house 25 beds, an emergency department (ED), women’s health center, dental clinic, and radiology, surgical, and behavioral health services. The Dane Silva Hawaiian Healing Center, offering Hawaiian healing practices, hula, and lomilomi massage, is also planned.
The project will also build 54 workforce housing units on the campus for staff of the new facilities.
