Norman Regional Health System (Norman, Okla.) and behavioral health provider Oceans Healthcare (Plano, Texas) are planning a new freestanding behavioral health hospital at Norman Regional Hospital’s Porter campus in Norman. It will replace the existing 20-bed behavioral health unit at the current hospital.

The 48-bed Behavioral Health Porter Village will more than double Norman Regional Health System’s current inpatient capacity for behavioral health patients and expand services, including a new intensive outpatient program and a dedicated geriatric behavioral health unit.

The project is slated to open in 2023.
