Kindred Healthcare LLC (Sacramento, Calif.) and the University of California Davis Medical Center (San Diego) are planning an inpatient rehabilitation facility in Sacramento.

The 52-bed, 58,600-square-foot Sacramento Sierra Rehabilitation Hospital will offer a wide range of rehabilitation services, including physiatry, physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, rehabilitation nursing, internal medicine, nutritional services, and medical and surgical subspecialty consultation.

The facility will feature private patient rooms, an acquired brain injury unit with private dining and therapy gym, interdisciplinary gyms, therapeutic courtyard with golf and varied surfaces, and a transitional living apartment to prepare patients for daily living tasks before discharge.

The project team comprises Taylor Design (designer; San Francisco), McCarthy Building Companies (general contractor; St. Louis), and PMB (developer; San Diego).

Completion is slated for October 2022.
