Lehman College in Bronx, N.Y., held a ribbon-cutting event for its new $95 million Nursing Education, Research and Practice Center (NERPC).

The 52,000-square-foot, five-story NERPC houses simulated clinical environments for maternity, pediatrics, intensive care, and medical surgery wards with 22 simulators. Additional building features include wet and dry research labs, a 20-bed nursing skills lab, activities of daily living apartment, and student lounges.

The project is designed to meet the New York City Climate Mobilization Act for sustainability and energy efficiency.

The project team includes Urbahn Architects (architect; New York) and HKS Architects (healthcare and laboratory design consultant; New York).
