Morris Hospital in Morris, Ill., completed a renovation of its former emergency department into a shared prep and recovery space for cardio diagnostics, imaging, and cath lab.

The 14,500 square-foot, $5.9 million project, Phase 2 of renovations at the hospital, also includes upgrades to the imaging services department and relocation of the cardio diagnostic department.

The next phase of renovations is slated to begin soon and will modernize the hospital’s perioperative facilities including the operating rooms, procedural and GI rooms, sterile processing, and ambulatory surgery unit.
