Builders topped off the $145 million, 120-bed Orlando Health – Horizon West Hospital last week, completing a significant phase of the construction project. As reported in the Orlando Business Journal, Horizon West sits on a 74-acre campus in Winter Garden, Fla.

Reporter Ryan Lynch writes: “The facility, which will be a six-level, 214,000-square-foot hospital—adds on to the $37 million, two-story, 78,000-square-foot freestanding emergency department and medical pavilion that opened on the campus in 2018.”

Horizon West Hospital is expected to be completed in early 2021, and create more than 500 temporary construction jobs, along with 750 permanent health care jobs when open. Orlando-based Robins & Morton Corp. is the project general contractor and Orlando-based HuntonBrady Architects is the architect.
