Penn State Health, in Hershey, Pa., is planning construction on Lancaster Medical Center, a new acute care hospital in Lancaster County, Pa., according to an article in Becker’s Hospital Review.

The five-story, 341,000-square-foot hospital will offer 129 private inpatient beds, an emergency department, imaging lab, and an attached medical office building for outpatient services and will be situated on 30 acres.

The project team includes architecture firm HKS (Dallas) and construction firm Barton Malow Alexander (State College, Pa.). It is slated for completion in summer 2022.
