The Woodlands, Texas-based Pisula Development Company recently hired healthcare real estate management industry veteran Debra Schooler as its new senior vice president, Asset & Property Management. Schooler is responsible for project management, processes and procedures, and overseeing upcoming single-tenant and micro hospital development. She is based in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Active in commercial real estate for more than 23 years, with the past 11 focused on healthcare, Schooler has expertise in healthcare real estate asset management, property management, and real estate compliance. Prior to joining Pisula Development, Schooler was national director of healthcare asset services for Transwestern’s Healthcare Advisory Services group. She also served as director of Healthcare Real Estate Compliance with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where she oversaw the Ascension Health account.

In addition to holding an Arizona Real Estate Salesperson license, she received a 2011 The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY®) award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for her work with Renaissance Towne Center in Bountiful, Utah. She also received the “Hero of the Year” award from Good Samaritan Hospital & No Kill Animal Shelter for her work as a pet therapist with cancer patients.
