The new Hengqin Hospital project, in Zhuhai, southern Guangdong province, China, has selected Payette for planning and design work.

The firm was chosen following an international design competition.

The 500-bed hospital, with capacity to expand to 1000 beds, will be the anchor and the signature component of the two-block medical campus featuring a shared garden zone between the main hospital and the surrounding specialty hospitals.
