Steward Health Care (Dallas) is constructing a new $227 million replacement facility for Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas, according to an article in TXKToday .com.

The new 254,000-square-foot hospital will be located northwest of the current medical center campus and will include 123 beds (with the ability to flex to 291 beds), an emergency department (ED), and medical office building (MOB). The medical center will offer a range of services including orthopedics, cardiovascular area, neurosurgery, maternity care, and outpatient services.

The project team comprises architectural firm ESa (Nashville, Tenn.) and general contractor Hoar (Birmingham, Ala.).

Construction is expected to take approximately 32 months with the facility planned to open in summer 2024.
