U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs To Build Four New Health Clinics
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected US Federal Properties Co. to develop four new outpatient health clinics in Chattanooga, Tenn.; Phoenix; San Antonio; and Lubbock, Texas.
Designed by Hoefer Wysocki, these new clinics will expand the VA’s network of outpatient sites to accommodate more than 225,000 Veterans in 733,563 square feet across all four facilities.
The clinics include:
VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Chattanooga, Tenn., single-story, 100,570 square feet ;
VA Outpatient Clinic, San Antonio, three-story, 236,595 square feet;
VA Outpatient Clinic, Lubbock, Texas, two-story, 124,696 square feet; and
VA Phoenix Outpatient Clinic, Phoenix, five-story, 275,157 square feet.
The design team includes Bob D. Campbell (structural engineer); Smith & Boucher (MEP engineer); Protection Engineering Consultants LLC (façade design and specialty structural engineer); FSC Inc. (fire protection engineer); and Merrick, Green Globe consulting.
Construction for each clinic is set to begin this summer.
