United Health Services (UHS) Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, N.Y., has plans to expand its emergency center and other upgrades, according to an article in Fox 40.

The $132 million project will more than double the hospitals’ trauma center space and add a new helipad to the top of the emergency center.

An additional four floors will be added to the medical center for surgical patients and another floor for an oncology unit. The additions will feature private patient rooms. An MRI imaging center will also be added.

UHS is slated to start construction in the fall and complete the project in stages over the next 3-4 years.
