UM Health Plans May Grand Opening For New Children’s Hospital In Columbia, Missouri
University of Missouri Health Care (UM Health) is planning an open house celebration in May for its new $232 million Children’s Hospital in Columbia, Mo., according to the website 939theeagle.com.
The 323,000-square-foot facility includes a pediatric intensive care unit (ICU), birthing center, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), family area, teen room, and outdoor playground.
The birthing center comprises low-intervention birthing suites, cesarean section suites, and more than 80 specialty services.
The project team includes HKS (architect; Dallas), Burns & McDonnell (architect and engineer; Kansas City, Mo.), and a joint venture of Paric (construction; St. Louis) and Barton Malow (construction; Detroit), according to the website enr.com.
