Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.) has opened a new behavioral health hospital in Temple, Texas.

The 102-bed, 68,000-square-foot Canyon Creek Behavioral Health will begin treating adults and then undergo a phased expansion in early 2021 to serve adolescents ages 12-17 and older adults ages 55+.

Once fully operational, the project will include an integrated assessment and referral center; intensive day programs and outpatient care; electroconvulsive therapy; and telehealth services.

Canyon Creek will also house academic programs, including clinical training opportunities.
