University Of Virginia Hospital To Open Breast Cancer Center
The University of Virginia Hospital (UVA; Charlottesville, Va.) is opening a new breast cancer center in Albemarle County, Va., according to an article in CBS 19.
The 18,500-square-foot center will consolidate services now provided at several different locations, including its existing hub inside the West Complex at UVA’s main hospital, according to an article in the Augusta Free Press.
Services at the new location will include breast imaging, infusion treatments, lymphedema and cancer survivorship clinics, laboratory testing, clinical trials, supportive care services, and a cancer patient gift shop.
The project is slated to open in October 2020.
