Health system University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (Bel Air, Md.) is planning to build a free-standing medical center and psychiatric hospital in Aberdeen, Md., as well to expand its Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, according to an article in the Baltimore Sun.

The freestanding medical center with a full-service emergency department and the 33-bed psychiatric hospital are slated to open in spring 2023.

The three-story bed tower expansion at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center is slated to open in 2023.
