WVU Lays Foundation For Children’s Hospital
The WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., began construction on time, laying the foundation earlier this month. The report from WBOY News confirms that a June 2021 opening is still the plan, thanks to installation of a crucial tower crane along with the foundation. Reporter Larmie Sanyon writes: “The next step is placing steel, and people can expect to see that by the first half of December if mother nature cooperates.”
According to WBOY, the Children’s Hospital will include a family resource center on the top floor, plus a game room, conference rooms for patients, their families, and doctors to meet—plus a sibling’s room. The hospital has raised more than $40 million of the total $60 million needed for completion.
