HMC Architects Bolsters Healthcare Practice Leadership In California And Pacific Northwest

The firm appoints Hector Cruz as senior vice president of healthcare, Ron Evans as managing principal, and Andrea Ruelas as principal in charge.

HMC Architects (Ontario, Calif.) announced leadership appointments aimed at strengthening its healthcare practice, particularly in California and the Pacific Northwest region following the firm’s recent acquisition of Bassetti Architects (Seattle), according to a news release.

Hector Cruz, who has served as the healthcare managing principal in the firm’s Ontario, Calif., office for nine years, was promoted to the newly created role of senior vice president of healthcare. In this position, he will focus on strengthening strategic healthcare relationships across HMC’s entire geographic footprint, including California, Oregon, and Washington.

With more than 35 years of experience leading projects, Ron Evans was promoted to managing principal of the firm’s Ontario, Calif., healthcare studio.

Andrea Ruelas, who has more than two decades of experience at HMC, was promoted to principal in charge.
