Healthcare Design is pleased to announce the winners of its 12th annual Product Innovation Awards. This program recognizes product manufacturers offering the most innovative and unique products used in the design of healthcare environments.
29 presentations were submitted for review and evaluated by a panel of 14 jurors from HCD’s Editorial Advisory Board, including architects, interior designers, providers, and consultants. Jury evaluation focused on innovation and contribution to the design of the healthcare environment—including enhanced safety, improved patient comfort, reduced installation/maintenance costs, environmental sustainability, and/or products that solve a specific challenge in a way that is innovative and valuable. They also considered aesthetics, style, and functionality. The highest scoring products in the jury review were selected as our winners.
This year’s three winners are:
GOLD: MEDglas Sink Utility Frame (STERIS)
SILVER: Arc Basin (Pineapple)
BRONZE: Repose Overbed Luminaire (Visa Lighting)
There were also four finalists that the jury felt contributed at a high level:
• Geometrix™ (Patcraft)
• Saros Duo™ (Focal Point)
• Traction Aqua (Shaw Contract)
• Universal Changing Table (Bradley Company)
