WellSpan York Hospital Expansion Reaches Project Milestone In Pennsylvania

Construction crews placed the final steel structural beam for a new 8-story surgical and critical care tower.

WellSpan York Hospital (York, Pa.) has reached a construction milestone on an expansion project to add an 8-story tower to its campus in York, according to a news release.

The new surgical and critical care tower will house larger, state-of-the-art surgical suites, expanded pre- and post-operative care areas, additional private intensive care unit (ICU) rooms with space for families to stay, and dedicated spaces that support cardiovascular, neurology, and trauma care and services.

Construction is expected to be completed by early 2027.
