Architecture Plus Information (A+I; New York) has joined global design firm Perkins&Will in a merger that grows the combined firm’s presence in New York, according to a news release.
A+I’s 80-person staff will join Perkins&Will’s New York studio, nearly doubling the size of that office to 179 total employees.
A+I co-founders Brad Zizmor and Dag Fogler will join Perkins&Will as full-time managing principals. In the firm’s New York and Philadelphia studios, Kate Thatcher, CEO of A+I, becomes managing director; and A+I’s chief design officer Sommer Schauer takes on the role of design director.
