Good Samaritan University Hospital Opens Patient Care Pavilion In West Islip, New York

The 6-story, 300,000-square-foot addition houses a new ED with 75 private treatment bays, 16 ORs, and a 36-room medical/surgical floor.

Catholic Health (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) opened the Patient Care Pavilion at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, N.Y., according to a news release.

The 6-story, 300,000-square-foot tower features a new emergency department (ED) with 75 private treatment bays, including dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric patients.

The pavilion is designed to provide direct vertical access from the ED to 16 operating rooms (ORs), including two hybrid surgical suites.

Additionally, a dedicated medical/surgical floor houses 36 private patient rooms.
