Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (Chicago) plans to develop a new low-acuity pediatric hospital in the Chicago suburb of Downers Grove, Ill., according to a news release.
Plans include a pediatric emergency department (ED), surgery suites, inpatient beds, and pediatric subspecialties such as oncology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics.
The project team includes design-build firm Clayco (Chicago), construction firm Skender (Chicago), architecture firm ZGF Architects (Portland, Ore.), and design and engineering firm Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC) Design & Engineering (Chicago), a subsidiary of Clayco.
