UM Health-Sparrow Plans New Behavioral Health Hospital In Lansing, Michigan

The 64-bed psychiatric hospital will serve senior, adult, adolescent, and child patients.

University of Michigan (UM) Health-Sparrow in Lansing, Mich., plans to build a new $83 million behavioral health hospital in Lansing, according to a news release.

The 64-bed facility will serve adult and senior patients and include 16 beds for adolescent and child patients.

The healthcare provider also announced plans for a new $60 million ambulatory surgery center in Lansing.

Both projects are expected to break ground this summer and open in 2028.
