FirstHealth Breaks Ground On New Montgomery Memorial Hospital In Troy, North Carolina

The $43.2 million project will replace the existing hospital with a 40,000-square-foot facility.

FirstHealth of the Carolinas (Pinehurst, N.C.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on the new Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy, N.C., according to a news release.

The $43.2 million project will replace the existing hospital with a 40,000-square-foot facility housing inpatient beds, emergency department (ED) bays, a procedure room, and space for outpatient and observation services.

Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2027, with abatement and demolition of the existing hospital by the end of 2027.
