MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital Opens In Tacoma, Washington

MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital has opened in Tacoma, Wash., according to a news release.

The new freestanding 6-story tower, 250,000-square-foot facility relocates and expands pediatric services previously offered at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital across the street.

The hospital comprises 82 inpatient beds, an emergency department (ED) with 29 exam rooms and 10 treatment bays, eight operating rooms (ORs), and a rooftop helipad for patient transport. It also houses the only Level II pediatric trauma center in western Washington.

Amenities include three patient play and activity rooms, a therapy gym, bistro and coffee shop, and outdoor garden area. The project also adds a 400-space parking garage.
