New Pediatric Hospital Opens On Brody Central City Hospital Campus In Brody, Ukraine

The 15-bed facility is part of Project Horizon, a philanthropic effort to support the recovery and modernization of healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine.

The nonprofit organization Sunflower Network (New York) has opened a new pediatric hospital on the Brody Central City Hospital campus in Brody, Ukraine, according to a news release.

The modular-built facility houses 15 private pediatric beds and represents the first newly built hospital in Ukraine since Russia’s invasion of the country began in 2022, the news release states.

Sunflower Network partnered with architecture firms CannonDesign (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Pelli Clarke & Partners (New York) on the hospital’s design. Other project partners include healthcare providers Northwell Health (New York), Standford Health Care (Palo Alto, Calif.), and UCLA Health (Los Angeles).
