Water-based acrylic-alkyd coatings
ProMar 200 and ProClassic Waterbased Acrylic-Alkyd coatings from Sherwin Williams offer application and finish of an alkyd coating, non-yellowing properties of an acrylic coating, and low-VOC content. ProClassic is a coating choice for wood trim and accents, while ProMar 200 is a coating solution for high-volume professional customers in commercial environments.
Eco-friendly signage solutions
ASI adds two new green product lines to its signage and wayfinding solutions-InTac Eco and ASI Solar Series. InTac Eco is an ADA-Ready signage solution created from renewable materials that can be recycled at the end of life. The new ASI Solar Series is a solar-powered, off-grid solution that uses 100% renewable energy and LEDs to create illuminated exterior signs.

Recycled plastic bins
Akro-Mils introduces the EarthSaver Series, which features its AkroBins and Shelf Bins made from 100% recycled plastic. The EarthSaver Bins come in three colors: Hunter Green, Sandstone, and Terra Cotta. The bins have a positive impact on the environment.
Sustainable broadloom collection
Karastan, a brand of The Mohawk Group, introduces its new broadloom collection, Tuscany Fields. Available in 18 colorways Tuscany Fields is the first product line from The Mohawk Group to be manufactured with SmartStrand Contract, a fiber made with up to 37% bio-based renewable resources. SmartStrand Contract with Dupont Sorona features solution-dyed color capabilities, and stain protection. It is also recyclable at the end of its lifecycle and can be turned into other useful products through The Mohawk Group’s GreenWorks Center. Tuscany Fields products are CRI Green Label Plus and NSF 140 certified and their recommended adhesives meet stringent rules for VOC emissions.
NonPVC wall protection
New Acrovyn 4000 by CS Group is environmentally friendly wall protection manufactured from engineered PETG, and contains no PVC, PBTs, or BPA. Acrovyn 4000 meets UL Classified Class 1 fire rating and is completely recyclable. It has recently achieved MBDC Cradle to Cradle Gold Certification.
Gypsum Board
CertainTeed Gypsum’s AirRenew wallboard reduces volatile organic compounds (VOCs) circulating indoors. It actively helps clean the air by capturing VOCs-formaldehyde and other aldehydes-and converting them into inert compounds that safely remain within the board and also features M2Tech technology, which is specially engineered to provide protection against moisture and mold. M2Tech achieves mold resistance based on the performance criteria of ASTM G 21 and D 3273. AirRenew is designed for fire resistance and will help meet recycled content criteria recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification program.
Natural rubber flooring
CBC Flooring’s Indelval Rubber Flooring has high natural rubber content and is produced through a proprietary high pressure vulcanization process. All 18 sheet, tile, and stair tread product lines are environmentally friendly. Indelval products are made with rubber harvested directly from rubber trees, a renewable resource, and are free of PVCs, plasticizers, halogens, formaldehydes, heavy metals, and asbestos. In both homogenous and double-backing construction, Indelval is a choice suited for sanitary floorings in healthcare facilities.
Recycled glass tile
Crossville has created Echo Recycled Glass tile for walls, countertops, and floors. Echo Recycled Glass contains SCS-certified recycled content of up to 100%, depending on color. Designed by Barbara Schirmeister, the line is available in 15 colors. It comes in three finishes: clear, iridescent, and a frosted matte, and in five sizes including listellos.
Eco-intelligent fabric
CF Stinson’s collection designed by Jane Wicks celebrates Jazz and eco-harmony. Representing a performance breakthrough in healthcare fabrics, all patterns include Agion bicomponent (silver/copper) active antimicrobial built in to the bleach solution cleanable, eco-intelligent, postconsumer recycled polyester fiber.
Energy-efficient SSL Solution
New NanoLED from USAI fuses its NanoLumen product with the performance features of BeveLED. NanoLED helps to bridge aesthetics with functional application with features including: advanced thermal management achieved through a light-weight high-performance proprietary aluminum heatsink; field replaceable light engines available in high-power, 10-watt Cree MP-L EasyWhite 2-Step LEDs, tightly binned for fixture to fixture CRI (color rendering index) consistency; and a “Slide & Replace” patent-pending LED driver sliding tray. NanoLED’s fixtures can transition between downlight, adjustable, and wall wash functions. The NanoLED products meet industry standards providing new options for designers to meet LEED certification criteria and energy codes requiring ASHRAE 90.1-2001 standards or later.
High-performance carpet
Shadows, a new carpet collection from Shaw Contract Group uses Eco Solution Q nylon which can be recylced. Shadows contains a minimum of 25% recylced content. It is high performance for demanding indoor environments, cradle to cradle for the one outside.
Environmentally friendly rubber floor
Mondo’s Harmoni flooring is made from rubber, a sustainable product that contributes to LEED initiatives. Slip-resistant and antibacterial/antimicrobial throughout, Harmoni is GREENGUARD certified and is free of toxic, synthetic components that are environmentally harmful.
Border/wall base solutions
Johnsonite, Tarkett Group’s commercial arm announces its rePLACE demountable wall base which has achieved FloorScore certification. rePLACE, a track-mounted rubber wall base is designed for flexibility which allows for changing out rooms, repairing high-abuse areas, and the ability to re-use the track and base elsewhere after remodeling. rePLACE is an environmentally responsible reusable wall base that can be returned to Johnsonite once its useful life has ended as part of the Johnsonite ReStart Reclamation program that recycles the product and keeps it out of landfills.
Fiberglass-mat interior panels
Georgia-Pacific’s DensArmor Plus Abuse-Resistant interior panels are suited for high traffic areas of hospitals, assisted living facilities, and office settings. These nonpaper-faced fiberglass-mat panels resist damage such as scuffs, surface indentation, and abrasion that can mar traditional drywall. DensArmor Plus panels are suited for moisture-prone interior walls, in basements and bathrooms. DensArmor Plus mold-resistant interior drywall panels carry a 12-month Weather Exposure Limited Warranty and are ASTM D 3273 tested.

Ecology signage systems
The Materia Ecology Series from Accent Signage Systems is ADA-compliant and has GREENGUARD certification as finished signage products. Manufactured from three combinations of sustainable, recyclable, and compostable materials, the finished signage systems-Intaglio, Forte, and Verde-are suited for LEED or other environmental signage projects because all materials used originate from renewable and sustainable resources ranging from renewable plant biopolymers to sustainable FSC managed wood/pulps and recycled cardboard.
Recycled commercial flooring
ECOsurfaces from ECORE International is manufactured from recycled tire rubber and ColorMill EPDM rubber. The product line features 83 standard color patterns with custom logo and pattern capabilities and is FloorScore certified. ECOsurfaces flooring supports the ASTM E2129-01 Sustainability Assessment. The product line is produced using a manufacturing process that requires minimal water, avoids heat, and reuses in-line scrap to decrease waste. It passes indoor air quality testing, has low-VOC emissions, and is recyclable.
