Is Transition Planning the Same as Move Management?

Oftentimes, I hear healthcare professionals confused over the differences between transition planning and move management.

Transition planning services are frequently associated with move management, and although both are typically applied during the construction phase of a project, the services are uniquely different with distinct deliverables.

You're Right–So Get to Know People!

On a recent flight from St Louis to Orlando, I sat behind two recent college grads grumbling about the economy and their apparent lack of job prospects.  

The data is ugly—more than 50% of college grads are unable to find work and 85% are moving back home after graduation. Who’s to blame these kids for their bad attitude, all they have known since they walked on campus in the fall of 2008 has been recession and doom and gloom.

HCAHPS and the Relationship to the Built Environment

I love to ask CEOs the question, “What keeps you up at night?” The answer used to be “access to capital.” But in today’s healthcare reform environment, the answer I most commonly receive is “my hospital’s HCAHPS scores.” 

So if the C-Suite is concerned about HCAHPS scores, then healthcare planners and designers need to be concerned about HCAHPS scores as well.
