The program is the third regional medical school campus announced by UK designed to increase the overall number of physicians in the Commonwealth.

Milton Keynes University Hospital opened a new 20-bed planned surgery ward on February 24 in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England.

Much of the work of the $6.1 million project will focus on the creation of an eight-bed, 3,900-square-foot transition unit located adjacent to the existing 16,600-square-foot adult ER.

The 276,000-square-foot expansion will add 14 operating rooms, 10 emergency department rooms, four catheterization and procedure labs, and up to 96 inpatient rooms.

The firm is working for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, a tribal health organization serving residents of Alaska’s Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region, to provide project management and construction oversight services for a new advanced primary care health clinic and renovation of the existing hospital in Bethel, Alaska.

The new walkway, which is due to open summer 2017, will provide direct access from the tram platform to the south side of the hospital.

The expansion and modernization project is part of a plan to transform the Mankato campus into a major Mayo Clinic regional medical center.

The 11,680-square-foot freestanding emergency department will have eight private patient rooms with radiology and lab services on-site.
