Abramson Architects (Los Angeles) has merged with global design firm Perkins&Will, which has had a practice in Los Angeles since 1996, according to a news release.
The merger strengthens the combined firm’s presence in Southern California, where Abramson also has a San Diego studio. The combined practice will be operated under the Perkins&Will name.
Trevor Abramson, who founded Abramson Architects, becomes managing director of the combined Los Angeles and San Diego studios. Marco Marraccini, a partner at Abramson, will be design director. Michael Williams, associate principal and operations director in Perkins&Will’s Los Angeles studio, retains the title of operations director
Abramson’s work in the healthcare industry includes past projects for the 80,570-square-feet Lucy Curci Cancer Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
