AdventHealth Daytona Beach (Daytona Beach, Fla.) celebrated the grand opening of its second freestanding emergency department (ED) in Port Orange, Fla.

The $17 million, nearly 18,000-square-foot ED has 24 private patient rooms (with two designed specifically for pediatric patients), diagnostic imaging, and a full-service laboratory, according to an article in The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

In October, AdventHealth plans to break ground on a two-story health park adjacent to the ED, which will include a variety of physicians and specialized care facilities.

The project team comprises HuntonBrady Architects (architect; Orlando, Fla.) and Robins & Morton (construction; Birmingham, Ala.).
