Alaska Regional Hospital (Anchorage, Alaska) has submitted a Certificate of Need (CON) with the Alaska Department of Health to build and operate a freestanding emergency department (ED) in Anchorage, according to a news release.

The proposed project would house five ED beds and diagnostic, imaging, and laboratory services.
