Architecture and design firm Spacesmith (New York) elevated three key principals to shared ownership positions, according to a news release.

Designer Ámbar Margarida, architect William Wong, and executive Margaret O’Neill become shared owners of Spacesmith Architecture DPC, a design professional service corporation model with flexibility of offering ownership interests to non-licensees such as interior designers and other professionals.

With their advancement, the three principals are in positions to help expand and advance the firm’s architecture and design pursuits and future growth potential, according to the news release.

Margarida’s projects for the firm include the application of trauma-informed design principles at Genovese Family Life Center, a clinic in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., that provides children and families with a continuum of care including physical and mental health, wellness, education, housing, and family support. She is also a leader of the firm’s sustainability committee.
