Atrium Health (Charlotte, N.C.) will open Atrium Health Lake Norman in Cornelius, N.C., on July 1, according to an Atrium Health press release.
The project will include 36 inpatient beds, including 12 dedicated beds for women and children; an eight-bed emergency department (ED), two operating rooms (ORs); two newborn nursery stations; and a dedicated labor and delivery floor.
The 171,000-square-foot facility will also feature a healing garden and walking path.
A medical office building adjacent to the hospital is slated to open later this year and house specialty services, including cardiology, orthopedics, and pulmonary care.
