Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem, N.C.) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on a new critical care tower that is set to fully open this summer in Winston-Salem, according to wxii12.com.
The 7-story addition will house 28 operating rooms (ORs), 56 intensive care unit (ICU) rooms, a new sterile processing department, and state-of-the-art equipment for surgery and trauma care.
Part of the tower, a new adult emergency department, opened in April, and the rest of the addition is expected to open in August.
