Kindred Healthcare LLC (Louisville, Ky.) and Baptist Health South Florida (Miami, Fla.) are planning an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Miami.

The 60-bed Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital will include private rooms and multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, trauma, amputation, and other injuries or disorders.

Plans also call for a therapeutic courtyard with outside amenities to support patient care.

The project is expected to open in early 2023.
