Baptist Medical Center Plans To Build Hospital In Florida
Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla., is planning to build a new hospital with an inpatient and outpatient surgery center and an emergency room. The project will be part of a larger retail and office park on land in St. Johns County, Fla., according to an article in The St. Augustine Record.
Situated on 38 acres, the 300,000-square-foot facility will open with 100 beds. The project’s design will include diagnostic equipment placed near the ICU, corridors with calming LED lighting, and centralized staff services to minimize noise.
The $200 million project is expected to open in early 2022.
