BayCare Health System Plans Hospital Relocation In Florida

The $326 million facility will house 150 private patient rooms with space for an additional 30 rooms for future needs.

Nonprofit healthcare system BayCare Health System (Clearwater, Fla.) is relocating its South Florida Baptist Hospital about four miles from the hospital’s current location to a site in Plant City, Fla., according to an article in Tampa Bay Times.

The $326 million project will house 150 private patient rooms with space to add an additional 30 as needed. Plans also include an 85,000-square-foot medical office building.

Construction is slated to begin in summer 2021 and will take about 30 months.
