Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie has completed construction on a new patient tower in Waxahachie, Texas, according to a news release.
The 6-story tower represents the largest phase of a $240 million expansion of the 52-acre healthcare campus.
With the opening of the new tower, the hospital’s inpatient bed capacity increases from 140 to 199 beds. The tower also includes an intensive care unit, surgery department, emergency department, and multilevel parking.
HKS (Dallas) is the architect on the project, with Whiting-Turner (Plano, Texas) as general contractor and Henderson Engineers (Plano) providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety engineering services.
