Health system Beaufort Memorial (Beaufort, S.C.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on Bluffton Community Hospital in Bluffton, S.C., according to wtoc.com.
According to a fact sheet on the Beaufort Memorial website, the 3-story, 90,000-square-foot hospital will house 28 inpatient bed and a full-service emergency department (ED) with 13 treatment rooms, two triage rooms, five fast-track rooms, a trauma room, decontamination room, and three ambulance bays.
The hospital will also include imaging and lab departments, as well as an outpatient surgery center with four surgical suites, two endoscopy procedure rooms, and 20 pre-operative and recovery rooms.
The $103 million project is anticipated to open by the end of 2026.
