Calhoun Liberty Unveils $47M Replacement Hospital In Blountstown, Florida

The 50,000-square-foot hospital replaces an existing building that has operated at reduced capacity since it was damaged by Hurricane Michael in 2018.

Calhoun Liberty Hospital unveiled a $47 million replacement facility in Blountsville, Fla., according to a news release.

The 50,000-square-foot hospital replaces an existing building that has operated at reduced capacity since it was damaged in 2018 by Hurricane Michael, reducing the original 24,000-square-foot hospital to 13,000 square feet of usable space.

The new hospital houses emergency services with advanced equipment, private patient rooms, three flexible clinical rooms, comprehensive rehabilitation services, meeting and training space, radiology, and expanded lab services.

Amenities spaces include a cafeteria for patients, families, and visitors.
