Calhoun Liberty Hospital (Blountsville, Fla.) unveiled a $47 million replacement hospital in Blountsville, according to a news release.

The 50,000-square-foot hospital replaces an existing building that has operated at reduced capacity since it was damaged by a hurricane in 2018. In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, the original 24,000-square-foot hospital was reduced to just 13,000 square feet of usable space.

The new hospital houses emergency services with advanced equipment, private patient rooms, three flexible clinical decision rooms, comprehensive rehabilitation services, meeting and training space, radiology, and expanded lab services to improve diagnostic capabilities. Amenities include a cafeteria for patients, families, and visitors.
