California Project To Convert Former Basketball Arena Into Medical Facility
The former Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif.,, which has been vacant since 2016 when the Sacramento Kings basketball team left the city, will be transformed into the $1 billion California Northstate University’s Medical Center campus, according to an article in kcra.com.
The Sacramento Kings donated 30 acres of the 170-acre site to the hospital, according to an article in msn.com.
The project will also include a new school campus, retail space, medical offices, childcare center, senior living community, and greenspace with parks and bike trails.
