Global architecture, engineering and consulting firm CannonDesign (Buffalo, N.Y.) has acquired The Clarient Group (Iselin, N.J.), a smart building and consulting technology engineering firm, according to a news release.
“Technology and augmented experiences are shaping the built landscape, so I’m pleased to accelerate our smart building path forward with the addition of The Clarient Group,” Brad Lukanic, CEO of CannonDesign, said in the release.
Under the merger, The Clarient Group will continue to operate under its nameplate, guiding the design and integration of digital ecosystems in building projects across all industries including healthcare. Clarient CEO and Founder Charlie Buscarino will continue to lead the firm.
The Clarient Group’s past project work includes the Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion at North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset, N.Y.), which is part of Northwell Health (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and was designed by CannonDesign.
