Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center Opens In Washington, D.C.

The replacement facility houses 136 patient beds, a Level II NICU, and helipad.

GW Health’s Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center opened in Washington, D.C., according to GW Today. The new hospital replaces the shuttered United Medical Center.

The $434 million, 136-bed hospital is operated by Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa), with GW Medical Faculty Associates (Washington, D.C.) providing comprehensive medical services and Children’s National Hospital (Washington, D.C.) offering pediatric care.

The project includes general hospital, adult and pediatric emergency, maternal health, trauma care, and mental health services. The facility also houses a Level II neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and a helipad.
