Cherokee Nation Health Services (Tahlequah, Okla.) has opened W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, Okla., according to newson6.com.

The $470 million facility houses 127 beds and is the largest tribal hospital in the U.S., according to the healthcare provider.

Plans also call for an expanded emergency and surgery center, as well as the addition of a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), catheterization lab, and nuclear medicine capabilities.
