Children’s Mercy Adele Hall Campus Unveils $1B Tower Expansion Plans In Kansas City, Missouri

The acute care patient tower will expand overall hospital capacity by 25 percent.

Children’s Mercy Adele Hall Campus has unveiled plans for a $1 billion tower expansion in Kansas City, Mo., according to thebeaconnews.org.

The project will expand overall patient capacity by 25 percent at the 128-year-old hospital. The new tower will house an expanded pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and emergency department (ED), as well as a new surgical center and lobby.

Construction is expected to start this fall and be completed in 2031.
