ChristinaCare, Emerus Holdings To Develop Three Microhospitals In Pennsylvania

Each facility will house 10 patient beds and an ED.

Nonprofit teaching health system ChristianaCare (Newark, Del.) and developer Emerus Holdings (The Woodlands, Texas) are planning three new microhospitals in Delaware County, Pa., as well as at ChristianaCare’s West Grove, Pa., campus.

Each facility will include 10 patient beds, an emergency department (ED), and a health and wellness center with outpatient services. Laboratory, X-ray, and ultrasound services will also be available.

All three hospitals are expected to open in 2025, with the West Grove location slated to open first.
