Cleveland Clinic Plans To Advise On Central Asian University Hospital In Uzbekistan

The health system will provide guidance on the 120-bed project’s design and management.

Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland) and private university Central Asian University (CAU; Tashkent, Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan) have agreed to collaborate on the development of Central Asian University Hospital in Tashkent, according to a news release from Cleveland Clinic.

The 120-bed hospital will be built on CAU’s expanded medical campus, and construction is scheduled to begin this year.

As part of this collaboration with Cleveland Clinic, Central Asian University Hospital is currently a provisional member of the Cleveland Clinic Connected program, which offers members access to Cleveland Clinic’s branding, consultative services, and education opportunities, according to the release.

As part of this long-term strategic agreement, Cleveland Clinic will provide guidance to CAU in areas including healthcare facility design and management, establishment of a nursing school and simulation center, and physician recruitment, supply chain management, and digital transformation.
