Coosa Valley Medical Center Awarded CON For Expansion, Renovation In Sylacauga, Alabama

Alabama’s State Health Planning and Development Agency has awarded a Certificate of Need (CON) to Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC) in Sylacauga, Ala., to renovate its geriatric behavioral health unit and expand psychiatric services, according to SylacaugaNews.com.

The $5.9 million project will add five geriatric psychiatric beds and establish a 20-bed adult psychiatric unit to the hospital’s main campus.
